The Fly in The Theatre

Welcome to the theatre!

One little Fly is on her way to a garden full of delicious rotten apples when she suddenly flies off course and lands on a brightly lit theater stage. What a strange place!

Soon, Fly discovers that there is much more to the theatre than what happens in front of the curtain. Along with a slightly know-it-all Mole and a shy little Ghost, she sneaks backstage to explore dressing rooms, costume workshops and prop rooms, and to discover the secrets, traditions and superstitions of theatre life.

Why do actors avoid mirrors? What is a stage batten? And what on earth is a Fly doing on stage?

Full of humour, surprises and fascinating theatre facts, this charming adventure invites young readers to peek behind the curtain and discover the magical world of theatre.
