This book is a perfect gift for those who love!

The Italian illustrator Beatrice Gasca Queirazza „dressed” one of the most beautiful poems of the Polish Nobel Prize winner Wisława Szymborska in a series of drawings that we can see folded between the covers or as a 6 meters long leporello.

It’s a touching tale of falling in love, praise of uncertainty and chance, where details – usually unnoticeable – turn out to be crucial.

And the very story of the protagonists – an anonymous pair of young people – becomes our own story.

Wisława Szymborska is used to be called  a „global poet”, because before receiving the Nobel Prize her work was read by devotees scattered around the world. The strength of her poetry is based on the beauty, simplicity, discretion, but also humor, legible at any latitude. Her words are universal, they go straight even to those who have never read any of her poems before.

Beatrice Gasca Queirazza is an Italian illustrator and graphic artist, she studied illustration at the Instituto Europeo di Design in Milan, she studied painting at Saint Martin’s School in London. Among her favorite techniques, the artist mentions pencil and ink drawing, collage and work with color in digital technology.
