The world was full of monsters and strange creatures since the dawn of time. Before science reached the level we know, nature seemed much more mysterious, and reality contained thousands of secrets. Lack of television, cell, Internet, or books caused that people passed on their information from mouth to mouth, often turning them over and exaggerating.

Monsters arouse fear, but also often fascination, being so different from everything known to people.

Sylwia Błach writes in an accessible for children and interesting way about 45 creatures from myths and urban legends such as goblins, aliens, poltergeists, Kraken, jinn, water nymphs, slender man, Pegasus, gargoyles, and others.

Each chapter in addition to the descriptive part also contains a glossary of difficult words and phrases that appear in the text (which you should know to impress others with your knowledge!) and a drabble – a funny story of around one hundred words about each monster.
