I’m Karolina Jaszecka, a Barcelona-based rights agent on an international mission to spread the joy of outstanding Polish illustrated books for children, comics, and graphic novels. At KaBooks, I have the pleasure (and honour!) of representing carefully selected titles from renowned Polish publishers, along with a hand-picked crew of authors, illustrators, and comic book & graphic novel creators.
My profesional adventure with books started almost ten years ago. I’m a translator and a literature scout. I grew up reading Polish classical authors, and in my adult life I can’t stop discovering new wonderful books with consistently a high quality of text and illustrations written and created by Polish authors. My goal is to make these wonderful books reach readers all over the world. I truly believe that it is important to show children to love literature, hide in great stories, live adventures, imagine words, heroes and villains. It will make them happier, more open minded and become imaginative adults.
